Y husband and I have visited gather for a few years now. We have seen the changes / hard work that has been put into making Gather what it is today !. This cafe is cosy, staff are really nice, always great music playing. Not a massive choice of food on the menu but what they have is v good. GATHER is a really funky place to chill, . Catch up. Advertising vegan cake and did not have any in. Bought 2 coffees and one scone. 8.60. Scone was 3.00 taking the piss. Never going back there again. The scone by the way came with butter. My friend didnt want jam or cream. God. Knows what that would have cost. Disgusting. .
Lovely atmosphere & food
Went to see an acoustic set as part of Congleton Unplugged. Was charged 4 for a bottle of Marstons Pedigree and was asked if I needed a glass. When the act came on we couldn't see or hear it as the people in there weren't interested in the act just rudely talking loud between themselves. There really is no point this cafe being part of Unplugged, totally pointless and just an excuse to charge over the top prices for a bottle of generic beer you can buy 3 for a fiver from co-op.
