Moved to the town recently, tried a few places and this is definitely our favourite by far! Proper pub, good atmosphere, wide drink selection. They serve food, classic pub meals. Plus they're dog friendly, they even have dog treats on the bar!
Staff very friendly. Service excellent. Food was gorgeous with very generous portions offering good value for money. Would definitely visit again
We wanted a quick meal and called at the Queen's head after reading reviews on Tripadvisor. It was a quiet Saturday evening and although the chef was preparing to go home she agreed to stay so that we could eat. Steak pie was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you to everyone. We will be back.
Traditional local pub with a good range of well kept Real Ales. They also do a good range of reasonably priced food. They have some B and B rooms. Also a garden with play equipment. Next to the canal ( up a flight of stairs). Has been in the Good Beer Guide for many years.
Found this fabulous pub on a canal walk. Fine choice of real ales. Really clean and tidy pub. Huge amount of outdoor space and quiet areas too. Food was lovely staff were friendly. Cannot fault it whatsoever.
