If you have any type of mental illness I would strongly recommend that you find a different doctors in Congleton. I was reduced to tears this morning just trying to request some much needed medication that I hadnt realised I was running low on. Eventually a very rude receptionist spoke to me like I was a child and rudely told me that this request could be done this one time only. Made me feel sick I am Bipolar and havent left my home for 2 weeks so to have some very rude lady tell me that I needed to go into the surgery to request a prescription which is normally sent to Tesco pharmacy for my friend to collect for me was very upsetting. I will as my friend today to find me a more sympathetic and caring doctors surgery. Vile people, why work in a job that is meant to provide caring service to sick people if you dont have a sympathetic bone in your body. I wish the phonecall was recorded because I would involve an ombudsman. Im so upset, if I die today my blood is on their hands !!!

Rude reception staff. Have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment. Not ideal surgery for people who work full time as theyre want everything hand delivered in writing (not email). I will be moving surgery ASAP.

The doctor diagnoses not from personal contact but records l need a facial contact doctor as l have PPMS

Just too busy, might be like other practices but the truth is it's almost impossible to get an appointment if you work. The latest time i rang to get an appointment was told to ring at 8am The next day spent 1 hour and a half ringing to get told there no appointments. i have to book onlineWent online, there's ''no appointments available''.This is why people clog up A&E, sadly it just too busy a practice.

I note a number of negative reviews about this medical practice, my experience is totally different to those posted. My wife has been enduring cancer treatment. Although most of the treatment she has received is at Macclesfield Hospital, Meadowside has been the first port of call for everything by way of back up and emergency. We have phoned for an emergency appointment at 14:20 hours and have been seen by a doctor within 30 minutes, equally medication has been requested by phones and after consultations, the prescription has been available the local pharmacy within a few minutes. The doctors attention to detail has been exemplary as has their care and support.I have a number of really minor health issues but according to the rules, each needs the intervention of medical practitioners (thats the nanny state for you) eg mild hypertension, age related movement issues, again the doctors, nurses and support staffs attention to my needs and indeed the speed of appointments granted has exceeded my expectations. Rarely have I had to wait anything longer than a week for an appointment and if something is considered urgent (by the medical staff not me) I have always been seen the same day as my call. The doctors also provide telephone consultations and these have saved both mine and their time with resulting prescriptions available at the dispensing pharmacy within a few minutes. Please take time to consider this practice for your needs and I assure you, you wont be disappointed. Of course, I guess we dont want to recommend this practice to too many people as the more patients they sign the less they may be available in the future, but from my experience, existing patients really wont be compromised in any way.
