Congleton Museum is low on space, but they use it very well! Lots of information about different periods, as well as how we know about these times in Congleton's history. There is an interactive aspect to most of the exhibits and it would be very engaging for children as well as generally accessible to people with limited mobility or those who use a wheelchair. There is a small shop in the entrance, well-stoked with history books, postcards, small gift items and calendars, and the volunteer staff were very helpful! I definitely recommend a visit to this small, but precious, gem!

I have friends nearby who've lived in congleton over 10yrs and havent been there. Only saw a temp sign on a lamp post by chance. It's a fantastic place for anyone to visit. Free to enter, but donations appreciated. Great interactive displays. Well thought out and laid out. Great for tourists too if you have a spare harf hour. Use it whilst its there. Even with volunteer staff, it's the type of place that local authorities close to balance the books. Desperately needs a finger post at the end of the road. No baby changing facilities, but cafe's nearby.

A small museum in the heart of Congleton where you can spend some time exploring what is on offer. From the moment you walk in and have a brief chat with the friendly staff on duty you begin your experience. There are plenty of exhibits on display with accompanying information where possible. There are two floors to explore with artifacts on view as you walk up the staircase and along the short corridor. They have so many pieces of interest that not all is on show but hopefully they will move soon to larger premises in Bradshaw House. Donations are welcome as you leave after having immersed yourself in local history.

really friendly staff in this museum who were more than happy to give us the full works, a tour, introduction and a pleasant chat. The museum is quite small however does have a lot to read and see. Lots of personal stories and interaction

Brilliant, well laid out, informative, learnt much we did not know. The team on duty gracious and extremely helpful.
