Good staff but details are lacking. Fitting of my new car radio took 3 visits and its still not 100% right. However, the staffs hearts are in the right place. Good range of motoring and cycling products

Without a doubt Halfords is the best motoring and cycling shop in the UK. The store in Congleton is large over two floors, the upper floor being mostly cycle gear including a large range of bicycles both inexpensive and expensive as one would expect. The range of accessories is amazing and you will certainly find what you want even if you have to ask the helpful and friendly staff. As regards the motoring section there is no doubt you will find what you require. If you need batteries or new windscreen wippers fitted they will be done quickly and efficiently by a member of their qualified staff.
Called in for advice on car radio handsfee etc, wanting to spend around 400 the sales assistant had little knowledge and couldnt come out to the vehicle because there was no other staff. I suggested coming back another time he agreed this was the best plan. Instead I drove to Tim at Car and Home Stereo in Macclesfield, all sorted in minutes I left having spent the 400... its often the same story in Halfords Congleton Im surprised they survive as the opportunity for thieves is huge, and so many people just walk out as there are no staff particularly downstairs. Surely commercially another knowledgeable member of staff could make a real difference to this places survival in a tough retail world!!Hopefully a Halfords read reviews as Google is the new yellow pages!!
Very helpful staff in the auto dept. Nothing was too much trouble. Fitted me a bulb on my van with a minimum of fuss and very inexpensive.
