Beatiful place to walk round. We love going there. lovely wee cafe for something to eat or drink ,parking 50p which is v cheap and helps support the park.! Water sports in the better weather. public toilets. . Lots of runners dog walkers come here.
This is a great park which is well maintained with adequate parking facilities. Good for dog walkers .
Nice flat easy walk. Great for less mobile people or pushchairs. Takes around 20 mins to walk round the mere. There are toilets and a nice little cafe on site. Take some change as you now have to pay and display when previously you made a donation to park. It was only 50p so that's totally acceptable.
A mile walk around the lake. Free car park. Small cafe van in car park seating.Plenty of benches around the lake. Flat and wheelchair friendly. Some inconsiderate dog owners not picking up dog waste and occasionally fisherman leave waste behind.Dogs can swim in the lake but be aware of algae.UPDATE........................... January 2019.Astbury is now a pay and display car park. Fences erected around the lake and dogs now not allowed off lead around the lake, only allowed off on one part of the field.
Astbury Mere Country Park is a great place to visit and walk around exploring the views There are many birds to see including the swans and plentyful ducks that are always on display. A complete circle of the mere is about a mile in length along the well worn wide pathway through the abundant trees that enclose the park. There is a small cafe at the entrance where you can purchase either hot and cold drinks or a snack. It is a fantastic place to take the dog for a walk where it is sure to meet a friend.
